Learn all about the Annual CrabFest and our Olympic Peninsula Community

It’s a celebration of the region’s rich Native American heritage, the diverse Olympic Coast Cuisine, and the local environmental initiatives. The festival partners with local educational organizations to enhance awareness of the natural resources and challenges of the Olympic Peninsula. This event brings together a variety of communities to celebrate different traditions, featuring free admission to all attendees.

You can expect a range of activities including food stands with local seafood, educational booths about marine environments, live music, and more. The festival is also a great opportunity to learn more about the region’s maritime history and cultural traditions.

 

FOOD

There’s something to delight everyone’s taste buds!

At the Dungeness Crab & Seafood Festival, you can indulge in a spectacular array of food, beverages, and live music. The event is centered around the First Fed Crab Central Tent, stretches onto the City Pier, and extends to The Gateway Pavilion. Be sure to experience the traditional Crab Dinner available daily at the Crab Central Tent for a taste of local flavor.

EVENTS

It’s not just about the food!

The City Pier during the Dungeness Crab & Seafood Festival is bustling with excitement and activities. Beyond the fresh, ready-to-eat Dungeness crab available for takeout, the festival features live music across three stages and more than 75 booths—including crafts, merchant displays, nonprofit organizations, and food vendors. Highlights include a U.S. Coast Guard Air-Sea Rescue demonstration on Saturday and a 5K Fun Run. Additionally, visitors can explore the Feiro Marine Science Center for a small fee, and might even spot whales and sea lions from the pier tower!

CrabFest embraces the whole Olympic Peninsula!

The North Olympic Peninsula offers a distinctive travel experience, perfectly paired with a visit to the Crab Festival. Located conveniently from various key points, the Sequim area is just 25 minutes east of Port Angeles, and the town of Forks, famous for its proximity to the stunning Pacific coast, is less than an hour to the west. Additionally, the majestic Olympic National Park, a true national treasure, is only a short drive from downtown Port Angeles. This setup makes it possible to explore the entire region and enjoy the festival all in one weekend.
