Basketball fans can help support the Peninsula College women’s basketball team get back to the Northwest Athletic Conference championship by participating in the annual Crab Fest 5K Saturday, October 12 at 11 a.m., starting at the Port Angeles City Pier, in front of the Red Lion.

The event, a fundraiser for Peninsula College women’s basketball, is open to runners and walkers of all ages. The entry fee is $35. All participants will receive a coffee mug and there are prizes for the winners. Registration is available on Peninsula College’s athletics web page under event tickets. There will be a registration table beginning at 9:30am on race day for those day-of runners. The run starts at 11 a.m. on the Waterfront Trail at City Pier. It is an out-and-back event. There will be four categories to run in. Winners in each category will receive two free crab dinners. There is no timing system at this event.
