Our Organization

The Dungeness Crab Festival

In 2024, The Dungeness Crab Festival began a new season for the event and greater Port Angeles community by establishing a nonprofit organization under the leadership of Neil Conklin, Victoria Jones, Michael McQuay, and Rose Thompson, all local business owners with decades of festival experience under their belts. The new festival board of directors, committees, and staff are devoted to re-establishing longstanding partnerships with local nonprofits, Native American tribes, civic organizations, local schools, and the City of Port Angeles and Clallam County. These community partnerships will amplify the economic, cultural, and marketing impact of The Dungeness Crab Festival for years to come.

Our Mission

The Dungeness Crab Festival is dedicated to celebrating the cultural heritage and maritime traditions of the Dungeness region. Our mission is to foster community engagement, support local businesses, and provide an enriching, educational, and enjoyable experience through our annual festival and related events. We strive to promote sustainability, economic growth, and a sense of unity within our community, honoring the legacy of the Dungeness crab and the natural beauty of our region.
